  • TALCOR takes 1st in Goodwill Golf Tournament

    TALCOR and Culpepper Con­struction Company were the winners in Goodwill Industries – Big Bend’s charity golf tournament which was held at the Golf Club at Sum­merbrooke on April 27th.

     

    Goodwill raised $37,000, thanks to all of their sponsors, that will be used in our community to provide job training, education and employment to people with disabilities or other barri­ers to employment.

     

    It was a beautiful day for the 22 teams who came out to support Goodwill. There was a three-way tie for the winning team, so the handicap hole system was used to determine the winners. Talcor won low gross with Jep Dove, Ed Murray, Keith Albritton and Marcus Beck playing on their team.

  • Awarded 2nd Place in Smoke Off!

    TALCOR was awarded 2nd place at the 5th Annual Carr Allison Smoke Off, which took place on April 25th, against almost two dozen other teams. Stephen Dyal, who was our chef once again, was able to bring home the 2nd place trophy. This is Stephen's fifth year winning 2nd place in the Open Pork competition.  

    All profits from the Smoke Off benefited the Boy's Town of North Florida, who were in attendence and placed in both of the competitions.
